INEC has announced that new elections will take place in 59 polling units in Kogi state on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

This decision follows the suspension of the initial exercise in certain locations, particularly in Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area.

The incident affected nine out of 10 wards, with only one ward having its results collated. The fresh elections are in line with electoral regulations, and the decision considers the application of the Margin of Lead Principle.
