Fulani Leader’s Death Sparks Community Concern

Umar Ibrahim, a Fulani leader from Mangu town in Plateau, was found dead in an abandoned well in Jokom community.

Before his death, he served as the Ciroma of Kumbun district in Mangu LGA. Operation Safe Haven spokesperson, Captain Oya James, confirmed the incident.

The Gan Allah Fulani Development Association (GAFDAN) stated that Umar went missing after leaving a hospital to buy food for his sick wife. After a four-day search, his body was discovered in a well close to the hospital.

GAFDAN urged members to stay calm, emphasizing law-abiding behavior, and called on security agencies to apprehend those responsible.

In another incident, the Edo State Police recovered a loaded military service pistol from a 28-year-old man, Abubakar Abdulrahman, in Bieneja Community.

The suspect admitted to stealing the pistol and ammunition from a retired Colonel’s house currently in the USA for medical reasons.

The police spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the arrest and recovery, stating that the suspect would be charged to court.
