Atiku’s Call to Action: Opposition Parties Unite Against APC

On December 6, seven opposition parties in Nigeria established a coalition named the “Coalition of Concerned Political Parties (CCPP)” in Abuja.

The formation took place at the National Secretariat of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), with leaders from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Young Progressives Party (YPP), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

This collaboration followed a call from former vice president Atiku Abubakar in November, urging opposition parties to unite against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Atiku emphasized the importance of preventing Nigeria from becoming a one-party state during a meeting with the Inter-Party Advisory Council Nigeria (IPAC) on November 14.
